Thrift Essay Contest At The High School
Professor Darrow schedules a Thrift Essay Contest from the 18th to Friday February 27th at the high school. Every student may participate. Essays are typewritten, anonymous, and numbered for judges. The top essay earns a five dollar Thomson State Bank savings account, a twenty five dollar Clinton Business College scholarship, and a store prize from Brockills or Hollines.

Thomson Bas kers Fall To Milledgeville In Muddy Battle
The Thomson players traveled to Milledgeville Saturday night in a muddy contest. Milledgeville won 35 to 15 as the Wysoc squad trailed late, with 13 points in the final quarter. An entire substitute lineup entered late, but Milledgeville held the lead and claimed the game. Ed Newendyke of Whiteside dropped by to discuss his upcoming Chester White sow sale on Wednesday February 1s at his farm. Wilmont Dyson, recently operated on at Jane Lamb for tonsil removal, has returned home in improving health.
