Savanna Woman Awarded Damages in County Court
Mrs. Maris Sites of Savanna was awarded 4000 in county court against defendant David Gillogly after a car collision caused by his turn across the road. The trial opened Wednesday and a verdict was read Monday sealing until morning. Joe Doll, brother of the injured party, also sues for damages arising from the same accident.

Gravel Road Project Appropriation From Wacker To Route 27

The Board of Supervisors met in regular session in Mt Carroll on Tuesday December 8 transacting routine business. Reports from committees were read and a delinquent tax extension was approved delaying February 1 1932 to May 1 1982. A right of way resolution authorized use of motor fuel tax for condemnation and right of way purchases on route 171. Sheriff firearms purchase approved. Savanna Sabula Bridge Work Underway With Pontoon Ceremony
Mrs. C N Jenks wife of the mayor poured the first concrete for pier five of the Savanna Sabula bridge while officials including Gov A Maney designer Gev Helseth and engineer Paul Helseth attended. About 64 cubic yards of concrete will be poured for this pier as work continues on the main span and foundations.
