Old Unionville Grist Mill Revival At Morrison District
A long-standing Unionville flour mill on Rock Creek near Morrison, erected in 1858 by Mr. Annan, has been revitalized by Hartman and Claridge. New machinery, repairs, and a ten ton scale attract farmers within fifty miles to grind wheat into flour, with 25 cents per bushel grinding and ten cent sacks. Wheat feeding trials in Illinois show wheat as a strong livestock feed, supporting local grain use and milling.
