Dove season opens September 1 in Illinois
The Illinois Department of Conservation announced morning dove season opens at noon CST Sunday September 1 and runs to sunset Saturday November 9. Daylight time is observed until October 27 with a 1 p.m. starting hour. Doves may be hunted afternoons only with a daily limit of 12 and a possession limit of 24, 12 on opening day.

Secretary Powell announced a nine year reexamination rule for all licensed drivers starting January 1.
