Four Injured In Auto Crash East Of Savanna

Four youths and a rider were injured when a Mt. Carroll group car collided with a southbound vehicle near Savanna at the Excelsior school east of town. The Peck car rolled over several times, ejecting Peck, Grove and Miss Smith. Miss Wachtel escaped through the top and suffered broken ribs. Dauphin occupants were unharmed.

County Women's Clubs Convene in Chadwick High School

About 75 women from ten federated and three unfederated clubs met at Chadwick High School Tuesday for the county convention, delayed from the prior week by snow. Delegates from Preston Prairie recently joined the federation. attendees included Miss Veneta George of Morrison and Mrs. Vera Townsend of Stockton. The program featured reports, music, talks on gardens and health, a flag ceremony, and federation planning activities led by county and district presidents.
