Prominent Mason Addison Melendy Found Dead
Addison D Melendy a well known farmer and Mason was found dead in his car from gas poisoning after the garage doors were closed He had returned from Clinton and his wife Delia Melendy alerted help The inquest ruled death from inhalation of exhaust gas He was born January 14 1872 and died April 10 1928 at age 56 He leaves a widow two sons two sisters and a brother and had long service in Masonic and Eastern Star lodges Funeral services were held at the home followed by a church service

Presbyterians had no service last Sunday due to bad roads. Dr Rendall Morrison will lead common service next Sunday morning. Mrs Hery Rice died Monday at Sterling hospital from pneumonia leaving four children and several grandchildren. Her husband died last September.
