Loechel Trial Date Set For May Sixth
Trial of Colby Loechel on manslaughter charges is set for Thursday May 6 by Judge George C Dixon in Carroll county circuit court. Loechel is charged in the deaths of Mr and Mrs Frank Warfield who were killed in their yard near Argo Fa when struck by a car alleged to be driven by Loechel. Defense motions to quash the indictment have been delayed due to counsel illness.

Partners In Two Chadwick Firms Sell Interests
Dissolution of partnership in two Chadwick business firms was announced this week after one partner bought the other’s stake. Stein & Cambman food market will be run by Herbert Stein sole proprietor, and Chadwick Elevator will be operated by Harold Fink after purchasing Elmer Weber’s interest. Weber and Fink had run the elevator and supply business for 22 years, with Weber staying on until June 1 to settle accounts and wind up. Mrs. Edna Humprelman and Mrs. Riley Temple hosted a Berean Sunday school party in honor of a birthday at Louis Zurschwerdt’s home, while Naaman Diehl of Lanark and others were guests at J. G. Say’s Sunday evening.
