A free band concert is announced for Tuesday January 30 at the Cerson High School Gym. The event invites community members to attend a public performance by the school band in the gymnasium.

Miss Marion Slayman daughter of Mr and Mrs W A Slayman will marry Edward Kenyon of Cedar Rapids Iowa on February 1st She is a Jane Lamb Memorial Hospital graduate and has worked in the hospice clerical staff since graduation Congratulations are extended.
Mrs Ray Brenneman recuperates after surgery at Jane Lamb hospital. Wesley Reynolds, thought to have pneumonia, shows heart trouble and improves. Sam Geisinger stays home but nears better. Mrs Florence Melugin remains gravely ill after months bedridden. Mrs Ed Groharing in critical cancer infection. Colds and flu prevail among others.
