Scott and his wife from Somerville, a Joseph Hooker Woman's Relief Corps delegation, and many congratulatory gifts and telegrams followed in three joyful days. Deaths in Point Shirley Home Carbon Monoxide Case
Police found Mrs Katharine Bryson and her son Joseph Bryson dead at a cottage in Point Shirley after a gas heater leaked carbon monoxide. The bodies showed postmortem signs and the medical examiner ruled probable carbon monoxide poisoning. The home belonged to Mrs Stevens, with relatives contacting police.

Mr and Mrs Gilgan Hurt By Rum Runner
Mr John A Gilgan and Mrs Gilgan of 69 Bellevue Ave were injured when their car was driven off the road by a Canadian rum runner on September 9 near Fort Kent Maine. They survived a 42 foot fall from a dirt bridge before being rescued.
