The swearing officers included Harry W. Aiken treasurer and Almon R B Whittemore president with directors A C J Pope L E Griffin N Floyd and E A Thomas. Notary Preston B Churchill certified the oath.

Patrolman Daniel Murphy Part of Fourth Rescue of Summer
Metropolitan Park Police Patrolman Daniel F Murphy earned his fourth rescue of the season last Sunday when he swam through heavy surf to pull Mrs A B Freedman from 37 Tridentay to safety on the beach. Murphy, off duty on vacation, lives in East Boston and is praised for his bravery and first aid.

Plucky Girl at Point Shirley Dives to Save Child
Miss Dorothy B. Smith of East Boston, a 15 year old vacationer, plunged into the water at Point Shirley and rescued Thomas Shaughnes sy Jr., 2, who fell overboard from a small boat. The boat drifted away as the child disappeared twice. The beach was quiet and Smith reached him and brought him to shore.

Bill Miller Buried With Military Honors in West Roxbury
Private William A. Miller of the 101st Machine Gun Company, last Win soldier killed in World War I, was laid to rest with full military honors in St Joseph's family lot West Roxbury. Service featured a high mass at St John the Evangelist, processions with a caisson and six horses, and salutes by the crowd and Ives band.
