Schools Open To Record Admittances In Town

Last Wednesday morning local schools opened and about 2600 applied for admission with expectations of reaching 3000. Supt. Frank A. Douglas and assistants managed the first day. High School Principal Edward R. Clarke greeted former pupils and newcomers. The Town Clerk issued birth certificates to many of the newborns.

Hagman and Carver Wed at St John’s Episcopal Church

Lillian Marie Hagman daughter of Mr and Mrs Eric G Hagman of 6 Lpring road and Melvin T Carver of 107 Bowdoin street were married in St John’s Episcopal Church at noon on Monday September 6 with Rev Ralph M Harper rector officiating.

Miss Lillian Higgs to wed Mr. Thomas Fenno of Wollaston

Friends of Miss Lillian Higgs of 78 Pleasant Street extend best wishes on her marriage to Mr. Thomas Fenno of Wollaston on September 3. After a Maine vacation, the couple will live at 638 Hancock Street Wollaston. Also noted is Mr Charles A Roberts resting at Kearsarge Hall North Conway.

William A Miller’s Body Home From War Sacrifice
