Supt. T. J. Mahaney asks car owners to avoid all night parking on streets and private ways as winter approaches. Plows work by district and must complete each area before revisiting. Inconvenience and delays in plowing this year prompted the request to keep roads open for emergencies.

Hebrew School Graduation With Boston Orchestra

Hebrew School in Winthrop will hold graduation exercises Sunday evening November 3 at 7 30 sponsored by Emergency Relief Administration. Chester A Mason and his twenty six piece orchestra of Boston will furnish music. Rev H Leon Masovetsky will preside with Mason directing a government sponsored unit noted in Greater Boston.

New Metabolism Tester Installed at Winthrop Hospital

Special Town Meeting Monday on Shirley Street School

A special town meeting will be held in the Junior High gym Monday at 8 p.m. to hear the Shirley Street School report by a five member committee appointed by Moderator Muldoon. The warrant lists three articles including presenting committee reports and considering appropriation related to the Shirley Street School building under the Federal aid plan.

Annual Cup Night at Pleasant Park Yacht Club

Pleasant Park Yacht Club held its first annual Cup Night with over 200 attendees including members friends and families. Beach Residents Seek Shirley Street School Fix

A public hearing in Elks Hall drew over 100 Beach residents to discuss Shirley street school repairs tied to a possible $126,000 project and a PWA funding share. A five member committee will report next Monday and consider immediate action to meet a December 15 deadline.
