Town Selectmen Invite Forty to Meeting Next Wednesday

Invitations are being mailed this week by the Board of Selectmen to about forty or fifty interested town residents to attend a meeting on the coming Wednesday evening November.

Urge Sidewalk for Children's Safety on Putnam Street

The town faces 1930 proposals by Superintndent Streets Mahaney to install a granolithic sidewalk on the westerly side of Putnam Street from Jeff m Street to Pau line Street. He urges the change after curb stones were laid but not a sidewalk, citing danger to children and adults from the hard macadam street.

The First Church of Winthrop will host a community event next Sunday afternoon November 10 inviting all townspeople.
