Procession Plan For Blessed Virgin Day Sunday Afternoon
The annual procession of children honoring the Blessed Virgin will start at 2 30 from the parish hall on Lincoln street. It will march to Hermon street Metcalf Square and down Winthrop Street to the church where services will follow. The Angel Guardian band plays a 2 00 to 2 30 concert before the procession. Monsignor Quinlan leads the participants with assistant priests altar boys and children.

National Red Cross Honors Mrs. Floyd
Mrs Carl S Floyd received a national Red Cross honor from Red Cross National Headquarters at the Executive Board meeting on May 13 in the Town Hall Hearing Room. Harbor Defenses Open Ball Season

Senior High Students Endorse Graduation Day Plan

Massachusetts officials issue Tuesday orders tightening lighting rules across stores restaurants and other establishments amid a near blackout in sections of Winthrop. Requirements include two candlepower reflected light limit three feet light projection dark window backgrounds lowered awnings and shielded floodlights with signs and displays prohibited from illumination.
