Second Liberty Loan Bonds Called For Payment
The Treasury announces the Second Liberty Bonds will be called for payment on November 15. No interest will accrue after that date. About 14.5 million in temporary bonds remain unexchanged for permanent bonds, with 4 million in interest unpaid. Victory Notes totaling 3.6 million also remain unpaid, interest ceased in 1922 and 1923. Uncollected matured interest and principal sum to about 43 million and 30 million respectively. Holders may exchange bonds for other U S obligations. Advice offered.
