Knights Templars Parade Marks 130th Massachusetts Rhode Island Anniv
More than 6000 Knights Templars from 53 commanderies in Massachusetts and Rhode Island with a Winthrop delegation and about 30 bands will march in Providence on Sunday afternoon May 12 to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Grand Commandery of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The body was organized in Providence on May 13, 1805 by Thomas Smith Webb Henry Fowle and Jonathan Gage. Winthrop Commandery No. 53 will join the celebration. Holmes has arranged a private bus from Winthrop Asylum at 10 o clock daylight saving time to Providence for members and their ladies. Visitors from other commanderies are invited. Special trains busses and private cars will bring participants to Providence with excursion trains from Boston Worcester and other points for the public.

Senior High Operetta Impresses Large Audiences With Don Alonsos Treasure
The Senior High School presented Don Alonso's Treasure in Osborne Hall to two full houses on May 1 and 3. Arthur Goodearl led as Don Diego with Marie Duncan as his wife, while Betty Macklin and Olga Langer played the elder daughter Dolores. The production featured graceful dancing, unified singing, and a happy Barcelona set, ending in a cheerful resolution.
