Winthrop High Holds Class Day Program in Theatre
Winthrop High School graduated class of 1928 held its Class Day in the Winthrop Theatre on Tuesday afternoon June 12 at 2 45. The program opened with the play trousers and dark blue bow the chorus led by Junior 8 performed Music of Spring. A message from A R recipient at the School Committee was read and Christopher Nugent presented the Class His in a novel way. A bright tar ball on a pedestal stood on stage as Nugent recited past events of the school.

Man Drowns Near Pleasant Park Yacht Club
A man identified as Patrick E. Hanrihan, 57, went swimming near the Pleasant Park Yacht Club and was found dead floating offshore around 8:30 PM Wednesday. Police and club members aided, but the doctor ruled death due to shock rather than drowning.

James B. Corsano of 142 Gore Street East Boston drove around Winthrop Street striking three autos owned by Kitson Halligan and Cook. He was arrested by Patrolman Coffin and held for operating under the influence endangering lives and driving without registration.
