At a Mass Federation of Women's Clubs meeting in Swampscott the Winthrop Woman's Club received a $50 painting for the Art Committee's outstanding work. The piece titled Gaspe Landscape by W Stevens was bought from the Penny Art Fund and will be shown at a club meeting with the Book of Exploits. An open contest earned honorable mention for Mrs. Benjamin Delano’s Scrap Book of Poems for Invalids.

A Boston area railroad seeks authority from the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities to issue an unrestricted weekly pass at $1.25 for the Narrow Gauge system.
