Winthrop Yacht Club Marks Its 50th Anniversary

The Winthrop Yacht Club celebrated its fiftieth anniversary Tuesday evening at Crystal Cove Bay with more than three hundred guests. Commodore David M. Wisely led the event with Vice Commodore John A. Eaton Jr and other officers coordinating a festive program featuring Billy Bemis and a ten piece orchestra. Guests included Commonwealth representatives officials and charter members reflecting on the club’s long social and yachting achievements.

Outing Planned for Local Youngsters

The second annual Children’s Day Out and Picnic in Winthrop is set for Sunday at Pleasant Pond Wenham about 26 miles away.
