Thunder Storm Roars Through City Causing Havoc
Last Saturday a severe thunderstorm hit the locality, lasting 24 hours and causing widespread disruption. A tree fell near 83 Somerset St, lightning struck the Cottage Park Yacht Club pole and an awning on Max Donsfriends home, while riverside sections flooded. Over 100 telephones were knocked out but restored by 5 P.M. Sunday. sand washed across the Crestar bridge tracks but cleared to keep trains running. Patrolman Turner serves at police headquarters as Russ Floyd takes vacation.

Seaplane Accident Near Beachmont Injures Pilot
A seaplane owned by Airplane Construction Co. of Revere struck an airhole while rising over wires near Beachmont and plunged into the water, 15 feet below. Pilot John J. Shea, testing for the company, escaped after being aided ashore. he and Edward F. O'Toole were treated for injuries, and repairs began on the damaged lines.

Two Men Slashed By Student At Baray Allen M Harvey in Boston University case
A 24 year old law student from Boston University attacked his uncle T B Platt of Weston and Dr Nathan H Garrick with a knife at 7 Faun Baray last Monday. Platt suffered arterial bleeding from two stab wounds while Garrick sustained a non life threatening arm injury. Harvey fled but was captured near Hillside Avenue after a pursuit by Lieut Douglas Patrolman Donovan and Special Officer Kelley. He is under care at the Psychopathic Hospital for observation.

Mr and Mrs Fred R Millen of Washington Avenue celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at their Annabessacook Lake summer home in Winthrop Maine on July 5. Guests delivered many gifts and congratulations. Lanterns adorned the veranda where dancing took place and a lobster dinner was served at 10 30.
