Student flyer makes forced landing near Winthrop shore
Milton F Swain a 21 year old Melrose resident and Boston Airport Corporation flyer attempted landings at the airport then flew toward Winthrop docked engine failed in the aery a dead stick landing on flats exposed by low tide. He escaped with a slightly damaged Travel Air biplane powered by an OXX 5 engine and walked back to the field.
