House funds bridge over Boston Harbor decision delayed
Last Wednesday the House accepted the adverse report on Representative Robert Dinsmore's petition for a special commission to plan a bridge over Boston Harbor linking the city proper and East Boston. Nearly Fourteen Years For Card To Reach Winthrop
Mrs May French wife of Patrol man Ora French received a postcard last Saturday that had spent nearly fourteen years in the postal service before delivery. The card dated July 31 1911 was mailed from Brooklyn New York to Mrs May French Metcalf Hospital Winthrop Massachusetts where she was a patient. It was finally delivered at the Community Hospital on February 21 1925. The card was discolored but intact.

Spence Couple Celebrates 25th Wedding Anniversary
About 100 relatives and friends honored Mr. and Mrs. Edmund A. Spence at St John s Episcopal Parish House Bowdoin Street to mark their 25th wedding anniversary. The couple wed February 22, 1900 in Dorchester and have spent much of their married life in Winthrop. They are blessed with two children.
