Horace Elwood Bragdon former head of Chelsea Memorial Hospital died at his Winthrop home 77 Bartlett road after retiring five years earlier due to illness. Born 1868 in East Boston he studied at Harvard Medical School and Vienna and served at Boston Guy Hospital. He leaves wife Mabel Dillaway daughter Gretchen and two grandchildren. Funeral was held at the Unitarian Church of East Boston with burial in Newton Cemetery.
