Homecoming Celebration Plans Discussed by Town Groups

Town clubs lodges churches and other organizations met with the Winthrop War Work Committee in an informal session led by Elmer Dawson on February 18 to discuss plans for a large Home Coming celebration for local boys. Harry Whorf proposed an evening pageant and Sidney Blandford urged a major community singing feature as part of the welcome. Dr H C Kennington said a tentative program existed but would wait for input from participating groups. The main challenge remains the timing of the boys arrival. Continued on Page 4.
