Community votes to take over Metcalf Hospital Plan A
About 300 residents gathered at Hatch's Theatre to approve taking over Plan A for Metcalf Hospital with raised funds of 52400. The effort, led by Rep Dawson and W H Gardner, aims to fund via public subscriptions with wide committee representation and a referendum analysis of Plan A and Plan B.

Entry by forced window and torn curtains with furniture destroyed and property scattered. no theft detected though a substantial reward is offered for locating the culprits. Little Girl Saves Chum From Ice Near Drowning at Lewis Lake
Four year old Roslyn Sinko fell through thawing ice on Lewis Lake while sledding with Mildred Silverman. Mildred, 4, risked danger to pull her friend to safety. Roslyn remained ill but alive, with both girls cared for at Mildred’s grandmother’s home.
