The Winthrop Trust Company advertises as a depository for United States Government funds with liabilities of 100000 dollars. Deposits earn interest starting the first of each month in Savings Dept with no limit to amount. Dividends paid at 4 percent. Office hours daily 9 am to 3 pm for deposits, until 6 pm, and Wednesday evenings 7 to 9.
