Merchants invited to join the newly reformed Board of Trade held the first meeting at Fellows Hall on February 14. Officers elected include 1st Vice President Whittemore and directors J C McMurray W C Ham C R Benson W G Twining R Tibbetts W L Johnson T J Jahaney and F E Homer. A committee on railroad matters was also created.

United Spanish War Veterans will observe the thirtieth anniversary of the Maine sinking with events on Wednesday February 15 at the Legion Dugout Metcalf Square and tablet ceremony. Town Hall Funds Approved in Five Minute Meeting
A special town meeting at the Junior High School swiftly approved 206 500 for the new town hall. After delaying for quorum, 112 members gathered and unanimously backed funds to cover construction and furnishings, with financing to be raised from taxes this year.
