The Winthrop Catholic Women's Club presents a minstrel program on WMEX Saturday evening featuring Katharine Peaver Nora Brennan Ethel Dempster Mae Schmidt and F Hayman with a chorus of thirty voices. Winthrop Aviator Rescues Two Flyers Near Muskeget Island
John H. Shobe, a young Winthrop aviator, rescued David Robb and Richard Cummings who were marooned on a wind swept Muskeget Island beach for 24 hours. He departed East Boston at 11 20 and battled zero degree temps and snow flurries, flying 4000 feet through the clouds to reach them in 45 minutes.
