Miss Gertrude Bonzagni of Pleasant Street served as a flower girl at the Kiley Bul wedding ceremony. The event drew family and local residents as the couple exchanged vows and rings in a ceremony attended by friends.
The Winthrop Board of Selectmen, dated January 31 1921, asks residents to aid by canvassing employers and sending a list to the Winthrop American Red Cross to help place job seekers and ease relief costs via the Poor Department. Harry E Wright chairs the board.
The Acts of 1990 Chapter 427 enacts precinct voting for Winthrop with 4 to 8 districts each 300 to 3000 voters. Selectmen must map name and residence lists post notices in town hall and three public places and file reports within ten days of establishment or revision. The act awaits town acceptance and is continued on page 8.
Winthrop prepares for a new one design 12 foot catboat class designed by Reid and Snow from Quincy. Cottage Park Yacht Club ordered several boats, Wessagussett and Quincy clubs also placing orders. Costs under 150 dollars with deliveries slated for April.
The ball of the Ancient and Heser able Artillery Company held last Monday drew many Winthrop residents. Commander Clarence J. McKensie led, D. A. Ives headed the band, and Captain Richmond G. Stoehr oversaw the colors ceremony with ex-soldiers and regulars among the attendees.
