Point Rationing Set To Begin March First Nationwide
The Office of Price Administration says point rationing starts March 1 for canned fruits and vegetables frozen fruits and vegetables dried fruits canned soups and baby foods. Sales halt Feb 20 to stock shelves while the public lists Ration Book No 2 by Feb 22. Households must declare on hand cans and coffee as of prior rationing to prevent hoarding.

Fined For Failure To Remove Rubbish In East Boston
Sarah Kline owner of a 12 family house at 17 Cutler Street was found guilty by Judge Charles J. Brown of the East Boston Court on Wednesday for neglecting to remove rubbish from her cellar as ordered by Fire Chief William A. Floyd and for storing fuel oil without a permit. She was fined 25 dollars for the rubbish and 20 dollars for the oil offense. Chief Floyd led the drive to remove fire hazards and warned that deliberate noncompliance would bring court action.
