Boy injured in diving swing accident at Benton's Ferry
Robert Lynch twelve, son of Mr and Mrs A V Lynch of Farmington, was seriously injured Sunday at Benton's Ferry when his hands slipped from a toy diving swing and he fell into the shallow Valley River. He was treated at Cook Hospital, then Allegheny General in Pittsburgh where two small spinal bones were fractured. An operation was performed and his condition remained critical before improving. he was expected to return home soon. The boy and his parents were visiting Benton's Ferry with Simon Mathews.
