State Missionary Meeting Here Soon

The State branch meeting of the Woman's Foreign Missionary societies of the West Virginia Methodist Protestant conference will be held June 2020 at the First M. P. church on the East side. About twenty five delegates are expected and the local society is making extensive plans for their entertainment. On Wednesday evening at eight o'clock a reception will be held at the church. Three sessions will be held on Thursday with speakers including Mrs. Ella D. Jackson of Janeew, State President Mrs. Lew of the Low, Rev. Mr. Steele of Parsons, and Mrs. Bertha Wilson and Rev. L. E. Oldakor of this city. The usual date for its annual meeting is the 14-16 of this month but at Spencer last year the date was changed to the 28-29. Owing to a misunderstanding the calls were sent out for the usual time, but later a second call announced the date as decided upon at the meeting last year. While the date conflicts with the Christian Endeavor convention, an interesting and profitable meeting is anticipated, and plans for the entertainment of the visitors are about completed.
