Dr Thomas Regan state superintendent opened the exercises as Dr Finegan an educator of national prominence delivered the commencement address to 88 graduates. Trustees and state officials attended as pupils in white gowns entered to music and a Rev Claude H King led the invocation.

In a sensational affidavit, Mary J Wade swore that Mrs Raber Kathern Kaber plotted her husband Dan Kaber's murder months before the slaying. Wade outlined meetings with two hired men and a plan to kill by strangulation or stabbing, while Chief Christensen denied direct involvement and noted the couple’s estrangement and Mrs Kaber’s flight to avoid foreigners.
