Bond Camp Planned Near Fairmont for Virginia Guard
Two thousand Virginia National Guard members are planned to encamp for 26 days near Fairmont this summer. The plan, approved by General Bond arriving later this week, relies on local chamber funds and Ground improvements at Hughes Farm adjoining the Fairmont Grounds. Authorities expect support from West Virginia units, with July 15 to August 15 as probable dates, and a ready water supply and accommodations at the fairgrounds.
