Charles Jacobs Dies at Morgantown Home
Charles Jacobs died Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at his Morgantown home after a months illness of tuberculosis. He was the eldest son of Grant Jacobs of Morgantown and long employed in the Morgantown post office. Funeral services slated for Tuesday afternoon with many friends and relatives traveling to Morgantown. Mrs. W. S. John of Morgantown is a guest of her sister Mrs. Ira Ly Smith on Wheeling and Chicago street.

Cunard Laconia Sunk After Sighting War Torpedo
The Cunard liner Laconia of 18,099 tons gross sailing from New York February 18 with 100 passengers on board was torpedoed and sunk off Queenstown. The ship, built in 1911 at Newcastle, measured 600 feet long and 71 feet beam. crew numbered 216 with no steerage passengers.
