House Plans Redistricting Delegates for Vested Representation
Feb 4 The House will have a membership of four at the next session if the bill reported by the committee on redistricting is enacted The joint meeting of the Senate and House committees approved a plan proposing to join representation In the House to Delegates. Counties will gain two delegates each for Raleigh Randolph Gena Fayette Mercer and others while Harrison and McDowell get three each. Several counties will have two delegates and others one depending on population. The plan will be reviewed and revised as needed.
