Hunger riots erupt as New York women demand relief

In New York on February 20 more than 300 hungry women gather at city hall and Rutgers Square demanding relief from rising food costs. They are led by Ida Harris and Maria Ganz, face police, and plan a mass meeting while officials advise patience.

Training School Pupils Stage Saturday Program

Seventh and eighth graders at the Normal Training School presented a program during general exercises on Saturday morning. The program included a debate on strengthening the U S army and navy with Willard Oberg for the motion and Charles Hazelgrove against it. Ralph Ferguson read a Riley selection while Lenley Harvey performed The Darktown Nine and Myhra delivered O Captain My Captain.

Valley City Commercial Club Seeks Reconsideration of Cole Bill

At a special Valley City Commercial Club meeting the board passed a resolution urging the legislature to reconsider Cole House Bill No. 221, an appropriation of 60 000 dollars for the North Dakota National Guard. Street Railway Accident at River Bridge Burns Fruit Car
