McBain Case Is Again In Court
Wells county authorities will not seek a free pardon for Wm McBain but will pursue further facts. McBain, who pled to abortion, faced a new trial motion granted after claims of improper preliminaries and lack of counsel. Judge Caffey ordered further hearing with Sheriff Kunkle to hold McBain if desired. Henry McBain and Mrs McBain attended. defendant again sought to plead guilty, but the court advised pursuing the alternative procedure.
