W R Tucker proposes a bill to amend state election laws creating an extra counting board to begin at 50 ballots, recounts after certification, longer rural hours to 4 pm and city hours to 7 pm, and shifting polling district operations to reduce delays. He cites the 15th precinct count and long hours as errors of present practice.
Miss Clarissa Elizabeth McEndree wed Clarence Vie nor Carlson of Valley City North Dakota at noon Thanksgiving day at the home of the bride's parents 1010 Ellis boulevard. The ceremony was in the single ring service conducted by Rev Ira E Edwards with Mendelssohn playing. The couple will reside with the bride's parents for now then move to Valley City.

On Sunday morning Layer, who is serving life for the Wolff family killings, now seeks to change his plea to not guilty and stand trial. Attorney Mr Kelly represents Layer as he faces a contested path ahead.
