Minot Triumphs in Close Second Game Over Valley City
Minot won the second game of a three game series against Valley City last night 10 to 9. Walker of Sheyenne pitched creditably for Minot amid loose play by both teams. The season was said to have ended after a game with Elbow Lake, but another match was secured for next Monday. Tower City, Valley City’s upcoming foe, has won 12 of 13, including victories over the Winnipeg Giants, and aims to add Valley City to its list. A special Hankinson train next Sunday is under consideration with a $600 goal to cover costs, potentially funded by local business houses with a dividend back to contributors.
