Irish Parish Judge Arrested on Governor Requisition
A German or Irish parish official was arrested in Shreveport on a governor’s requisition from Texas. He was held on a bond of about six to eight thousand dollars, fled before trial, and later moved to New Orleans where he had been appointed parish judge by Governor Teallogs, serving one term before removal of the sheriff.
