Town Council Drainage Report Adopted March 6 1876
The council met March 6 1876. Committee on drainage submitted a lengthy plan calling for ditching near J Lemon EL street and Ryan street, widening and lining banks, building wooden sewers, filling low spots, and bridging hazards along Kee Lakers street and Mary street. The report urged rapid work on the Lake Charles drainage system with several new bridges and improvements, and bids to be requested.
