Attorneys File Capitol Briefs In Guthrie Capital Case

Guthrie Oklahoma Sept 2 Attorneys for Oklahoma City in the capital litigation now pending before the supreme court filed briefs detailing the same arguments as before. They contend the enabling act locating the temporary capital at Guthrie until 1913 was not a national policy but to please a single delegate. They argue citizens cannot claim property rights, a third party cannot enforce the compact, removal of the capital is a political power inherent to the state, and that the act and ordinance violate the state constitution. The federal government had no right to enforce the contract.
