Prohibitionists Mull Split Vote in Oklahoma Governor Race
Guthrie Okla May 23 The Anti Saloon League fears the fielding of multiple prohibition candidates in both major parties could divide the vote. George D Conger says efforts aim to assemble complete tickets with one pro prohibition candidate per office. If successful this could force a resubmission of prohibition questions amid a pending constitutional amendment.

Board Increases Railroad Taxes in Guthrie Oklahoma
The Oklahoma state board of equalization raised all railroad property values by 10 percent for main tracks, boosting total railroad assessments to just over 20 million dollars. Track and related property now valued at 11,981,469, same as last year, while a prior 17,106,840 rise in main track value pushes overall totals higher. To avoid constitutional doubt, the board taxes main track property on an ad valorem basis under the old law, ensuring tax collection regardless of the legality ruling on the new revenue-based levy.
