Fifteen Injured When Train Goes Into Ditch
Albuquerque reports fifteen passengers injured in the wreck of Santa Fe train No 2 eastbound Los Angeles Chicago tourist flyer at Garcia forty five miles west of Albuquerque. The train struck a broken rail while travelling at speed causing the smoking car day coach and three Pullman sleepers to derail and fall into the ditch. A relief train arrived with physicians and nurses and the injured were brought to Albuquerque for treatment. Conductor T J Collins of Chicago suffered a broken arm and bruises while J H Taylor of Terre Haute was cut about the head. The rear Pullman cars escaped serious damage and most passengers resumed travel after treatment.

Police report a lone black man robbed the Katy depot at Chouteau this morning, escaping toward the city. About $25, a black overcoat, kid gloves, and a gold watch were taken. the owner B F Ownby's name was sewn in the coat pocket.
