Sarah Katon pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the first degree for the murder of Dr. Martin W. Auspitz in August last, was remanded for sentence Friday. The sensational crime involved a nurse who killed Auspitz while under anesthesia following an attack.
The Commercial Club met to appoint committees for choosing a site for an eastern insane asylum to be built this summer. A fundraising committee, with Lucien Buffington J W Orr Oliver Bagby B A McFarland Ws Little W E Hassel and A Chandler, will raise funds and drill an artesian well at the site. A separate committee of T M Bullington T A Chandler and J W Orr will select the asylum site.
The Oklahoma state insane asylum at Fort Supply, 25 miles northwest of Woodward, suffered a third fire in a week last night destroying the main hospital. No lives were lost but 50 of 59 patients were evacuated from the building.
Guthrie Oklahoma April 4 five national banks have applied to the state banking department to be exempt from acting as reserve agents under the new ruling requiring examinations at least twice a year. The banks named are American National and Security National of Oklahoma City Guthrie National Stock Yards National of Port Worth Texas and Thurmond National Bank.

President Taft and Mrs Taft with family members leave Washington for New York. They will be guests of Henry W Taft, the president's brother. Tomorrow Taft will travel to New Haven for a Yale corporation business meeting.
