The Warteuman is issued weekly at two dollars per year with monthly installments optional. Subscriptions can be paid in advance or after six months. No subscriber is dropped for arrears until they are paid. Postage is the subscriber’s responsibility.

In a colonial skirmish near Fish Dam Ford, Captain Taylor led a militia against British forces under Sumter. A near night assault unfolded with Taylor foreseeing the attack, Middleton and White aiding, and a fatal hit on a British dragoon by a sharpshooter. The Americans held firm then withdrew, leaving casualties on both sides.
