Battlefield Echoes at Fish Dam Ford and Taylor’s Rally

In a colonial skirmish near Fish Dam Ford, Captain Taylor led a militia against British forces under Sumter. A near night assault unfolded with Taylor foreseeing the attack, Middleton and White aiding, and a fatal hit on a British dragoon by a sharpshooter. The Americans held firm then withdrew, leaving casualties on both sides.
