Notice to all interested parties that administration accounts for the estates of Philip Kyeshbawm Jacob Stettler Tanes Grimes Adam Helvig Daniel Wellever and Christian Carrel decedents are filed in the Register's Office Columbia County. The accounts will be presented for confirmation and allowance to the Orphans Court at Danville on Tuesday January 11. Rudolph Sechler Register.

An extract from a letter dated Passage Island November 1 1824 describes Commodore Porter reacting to the imprisonment and insult of a American schooner commander. Porter led two schooners and part of John Adams crew, spiked batteries, and advanced with 209 townspeople to demand atonement from the Governor and port captain or face consequences, following a confrontation near Foxanda in Porto Rico.
The Commodore entered the town with officers present to show power, then withdrew to boats leaving no one in ranks. Guns were spiked for safety and villagers reportedly warned of the visit. The population is about two thousand and a large local force watched from close by as the Commodore demonstrated control. Baltimore Federal Gazette.
The packet ship Cadmus bearing Paris and Marseilles papers reaches November 15 while Capt Allen visits the La Fayette family at La Grange. Reports discuss Greek Turkish clashes near Samos Patmos, a Turkish fleet defeated, and Greek successes. Also noted are English comments on Colombia recognition, conscription plans in Ferdinand's realm, and a pending decree restricting foreign arrivals.
