Skyline High book sale draws 100 donors to boost arts program
Skyline High School theater director Rich Follett organized a community book sale that drew 100+ donors and more than 7,000 books from the Strasburg Community Library and many groups. The sale runs 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Skyline cafeteria with help from choir and band departments and even the football team.

Va Air Show Highlights Cars And Planes At Front Royal
The eighth annual Virginia Air Show and Sky line Wings and Wheels returns Saturday at Front Royal Warren County Airport from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. featuring more than 100 vehicles alongside aircraft such as P 51D Mustang Double Trouble and Flying Circus biplanes. Car entrants pay 12 in advance or 15 at the gate, with awards for top 25 in show best in show and longest distance traveled, plus door prizes from local dealers.

Suspects arrested in motel robbery in Front Royal
U.S. Marshals arrested two suspects in a robbery at the Blue Ridge Motel. Denise Boisse Miller, 30, of North Royal Avenue, and Mitchell Douglas, 47, of Albany, NY, were taken into custody in Manassas. Tamara Douglas, 28, and Billie Jo are also named in the release.

Robbery arrests tied to Balti-Lee incident

Memorial set to unveil painter Patricia Windrow Klein
In Front Royal a memorial unveiling for local realist painter Patricia Windrow Klein will occur at 11 a.m. near the Millennium Sundial she designed in downtown. Windrow, who died in 2013, was active in the community with murals at Main Street Mill and the Warren County Visitors Center and hosted The Cable Easel show. Born in London on September 12 1921 she studied in Paris and moved to Front Royal in 1991 with her husband pianist Howard Klein.
