Front Royal Rotary honors teachers with Educating the Youth Awards

Skyline High School senior Emma Ruby received a 6000 Rotary of Front Royal scholarship, the first time in 18 years the club named a single recipient. Rotary officials praised her service focus, leadership in Relay for Life, Interact Society and National Honor Society, and plans to study neuroscience or public policy at Virginia Tech.

Mattoon Illinois retailer Rural King will open a new store in Warren County Virginia occupying a vacated building. The venture targets a rural clientele with low prices and a large product range including groceries and apparel. About 25 of 70 positions will be full time and Shaun Armine named store manager.
